International Women's Day saw vibrant celebrations at SS +2 High School and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Residential School in Patratu, as part of PVUNL Limited's commitment to gender equality.
CEO, PVUN Limited, Shri RK Singh, inaugurated a new computer lab, underscoring the importance of digital literacy for the young students in the rapidly changing world.
The observation also focused on health and wellness with the Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti and PVUN Health Center hosting a crucial session on menstrual health, augmented by sanitary napkin distribution to promote dignity and hygiene among female students. Furthermore, a comprehensive eye checkup was carried out, followed by the distribution of free spectacles by Smt Rita Singh, President, Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti and other Samiti members reinforcing the importance of eye care in educational success.
Concluding the festivities, school bags and water bottles were distributed to 2036 students, nurturing their academic journey. The initiative was warmly received by local authorities and school management.
